This is a secret. Lots of very big halibut at the waterfall. Last two days have been crazy.

Thanks for the intel! You've had action; if not salmon.
I just got back from a Monterey tuna try. No hits and no sightings and no radio fish either.

I Read your post on swim baits for halibut and it inspired me to give it a try. I’ve been having some success and am trying to refine the technique. I have the casting and jigging down but I was curious if you can give me some tips on your setup for trolling swimbaits? I tried trolling 3/4oz on a 4oz slider and got some fish but found my lead head would end up in the mud a bit which would turn off the action.

I don't troll since my idle speed is too fast. Once, on my friends boat, his speed was slow enough that I was jigging the bottom. They will readily hit a 2 oz head.

Yes I launched at Marin Rod and gun club I also launching my 22 foot boat there too I need about a 1 foot of water to launch it yes it’s a good place to hide when it’s windy been doing better they’re on the outgoing tide very unusual for me using it’s in coming there for me.

Switching to an outboard and getting rid of the i/o
that is a sweet set up you have

        We had 4 shakers there.
That area holds some fish. Nice in the afternoon when the wind is crazy everywhere else.
Did you launch at the Gun club?
Thanks for the compliment s. It been a great boat. I did an I/o conversion 2 years ago. The outboard really opens up the cockpit.
